Dr Gillian Chua graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2022 with a 4 Year Undergraduate Scholarship: Wee Cho Yaw Future Learners Award.

Dr Chua first started her career at Singhealth Polyclinics, where she was the Dental Officer In Charge. She moved on to working in Health Promotion Board (School Dental Centre) where she worked with children mostly under the ages of 7. Following that, she worked at National Dental Centre, focusing on periodontal management of all ages. Dr Chua also applied to work at the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic in Changi General Hospital for a year where she was mostly exposed to elderly patients and those with more complex medical history/ dental trauma and oral maxillofacial trauma needs.

Dr Chua understands that to patients, the visit to the dentist might come with a lot of history, fears and uncertainty. She hopes that she can serve each patient that comes in with love and patience. She hopes to listen and explain well, to help each patient be more equipped to take care of their own oral needs.

Outside of work, Dr Chua enjoys reading, singing and running. On weekends, she is usually involved in church’s music ministry and classes.
