Qualified since: 2020
Branch: Choa Chu Kang
Dr Julia Chew graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2020. During her undergraduate training, she gained experience across a variety of clinical settings, including the Adelaide Dental Hospital and rural placements in Port Lincoln, South Australia. Working between the city and rural communities allowed her to meet patients from different demographics and backgrounds, with varying access to dental care and healthcare needs. These experiences gave her a broad foundation in general dentistry and taught her the importance of adapting her approach to each patient and their individual circumstances.
Following graduation, Dr Julia began her career in private practice, where she has cared for patients across different stages of life. She enjoys working with children and treating families, and takes pride in creating a comfortable and positive dental experience for younger patients. She also sees many elderly patients and enjoys providing aesthetic and restorative dentistry, as well as managing oral surgery cases. She believes in taking the time to understand each patient’s concerns and works closely with them to develop treatment plans that are suited to their needs and goals.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Julia enjoys giving back to the community and occasionally volunteers with HealthServe, where she helps provide dental care to migrant workers. She enjoys staying active through tennis and pickleball, and previously coached tennis for visually impaired players. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
